Our Thesis

Intel Capital invested in MinIO to enable a true cloud or edge-agnostic data platform for 3 reasons: (1) Enterprises want the power to deploy their applications and data anywhere without regard for which provider owns or operates the infrastructure; (2) targeting developers for adoption of storage capability rather than selling to IT encourages more and more creative uses of object storage and (3) data is becoming the life-blood of every organization and, as a result, its use and retention is growing exponentially, offering an enormous opportunity for the category winner while also offering Intel offer more compute resources into the segment.
