John Gildea

Biography

John Gildea is an Investment Director located in the Bay Area. He joined Intel Capital in 2007.

John oversees equity investments in Intel Capital’s Cloud, Devices, and Frontier Domains.

He currently serves as Board Director or Observer at Airy3D, AustinGIS, Certisign, Goldbelly, Movable Ink, Occipital, Qnovo, and Two Bit Circus.

Prior to Intel Capital, John began his career with Cooper Energy Services as a Project Manager and Principal Engineer leading global power generation construction activities. He joined Intel in 2001 and worked in various Corporate Finance and Treasury roles before joining Intel Capital.

John is a US Navy combat veteran and served in both Afghanistan and Eastern Africa in support of the Global War on Terrorism. He has an MBA and MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Davis, a BS Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois, and he is a Registered Professional Engineer in CA. John is currently honing his wood-working skills and aspires to master the art of craftsman furniture building.
