Gerald Chen
Biography
Gerald Chen is an Investment Director located in Beijing, China. He joined Intel Capital in 2011.
In his role, Gerald is primarily focused on Cloud Computing, Big Data, Enterprise and Industrial Software Application, and Communication System investments. Gerald currently serves as observer on the boards of AWCloud, Alauda, Comba Network, IC Bench, CloudSky, and Intelligence Indeed.
Gerald has over twenty years of experience in investment, management, and entrepreneurship in high-tech industry in mainland China and Taiwan. Prior to Intel Capital, Gerald was an Investment Manager at Walden International and COO at Taisys Technologies. Before that, he was in charge of product management and international ODM businesses for advanced display products at BenQ, an Acer Group member company. He got his MBA from Cheng-Chi University and BS in Electrical Engineering from Sun Yat-Sen University in Taiwan. Gerald loves to play folk guitar, read, and travel to historic sites.
